welcome to my world

Today I decided I would begin my blogging of experiences in my life.
NO, I don't want anyone reading this to think that my life is greater or less interesting than theirs. It is what it is. But heck we all could stand to learn from each other and maybe get a few laughs in too.

So here I go:
O'Canada

I was born in Canada!
What does that mean? well let me tell you what it doesn't mean. I don't like cold weather or mounties! I don't fantasize about fishing with the man I love nor do I believe the healthcare system is a gift from God. I am a Canadian... proud.
Growing up in Canada was wonderful. Yes, we got LOTS and I mean LOTS of snow. I remember having to take 20 mins just to put on my nowsuit. It was the late 70's and I had the ugliest snowsuit in the world. It covered every inch of my body. Layers of zippers up the front, followed by buckles and then a tie to go right around my neck so I would be snug. We later heard that some kids died getting strangled by the cord! Yikes. By my mum wanted me to not get a cold. That was when they believed that cold weather would cause a deadly virus or worse.
Summers were a summed up in two words- Hot & Short. They came, they went. Much to fast to truly get comfortable.
well I need to go... Next blog- Canadian Boys versus American Boys
